International weeks and BIP’s
EPHEC organizes 8 different short international programmes. We call most of them International Weeks. Some of these programmes are organized in the BIP (=Blended Intensive Programmes) format which means that a virtual component is added to the programme.
What is an International Week?
International Weeks create a challenging environment for students as they will be working on projects in international groups, mixing as many nationalities as possible.
Participating in such a programme enables students to
- Communicate efficiently in English ;
- Demonstrate the ability to function in an intercultural environment;
- Engage and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team;
- Demonstrate project management skills in a team environment;
- Evaluate and apply new technical skills and method.
2 or 3 ECTS (in case of BIP's) are given upon completion of the programme.

COIL
In order to ensure the development of international skills for all, EPHEC also wishes to promote COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) programmes.
Through online collaboration with our partners, we can ensure that a greater number of students benefit from a global learning experience.
Development cooperation
At EPHEC, development cooperation globally refers to collaborative initiatives and partnerships between our university college and other academic institutions or civil organizations, with the goal of promoting mutual learning, fostering knowledge exchange, and contributing to sustainable development in order to reduce poverty, improve living conditions, and enhance the overall well-being of the people both in our region and in the so-called global South.
Development cooperation can take various forms, including student and staff exchanges, joint research projects, collaborative learning, trainings, sharing of experiences, awareness campaigns, etc. and EPHEC is willing and ready to embrace every possible opportunity to open up to new cooperative ideas.
Our objective is to help build the individual and institutional capacity to address development challenges and eradicate poverty : we strongly believe that global sustainable prosperity and peace are interconnected, and that higher education institutions can contribute to creating a better world.
International Credit Mobility
The Erasmus+ KA171 or International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme enables to extent the existing student and staff Erasmus mobility to countries outside the EU – so called Partner Countries. The purpose of extending regular Erasmus+ mobility to these countries is to deepen academic cooperation between EPHEC and its partners by enabling exchange.
