International
At EPHEC, embracing internationalization is an integral part of our everyday operations. Through our longstanding dedication to expanding our network, we've cultivated over 200 partnerships with universities worldwide.
Pedagogical Innovation
In order to continuously improve the quality of our pedagogy and to support the professional development of our faculty members, a dedicated unit has been created. This unit – Service for Learning Improvement – has as mission to
- Systematically monitor and disseminate innovative teaching practices and trends in line with the EPHEC's educational positioning and in compliance with current regulations;
- Encourage and support teaching innovations;
- Carry out research into pedagogy and e-learning.
In line with our pedagogical model, our students will be
- working on case studies;
- challenged by companies;
- confronted with serious games embedded in the study programmes;
- working on real-life business scenarios;
- carrying out trade missions on specific markets.
Research
As a player in applied research, HE EPHEC positions itself as a partner in innovation and technological, economic, social, human and cultural development in the ecosystems of Brussels and the Walloon region of Belgium.
Through its applied research missions and within the means at its disposal, HE EPHEC pursues three main objectives:
- Guarantee the excellence of our programmes and develop our range of training courses;
- The professional development of our employees;
- Contribute to the technological, social and cultural economic development of local and international ecosystems.
As part of the European recovery plan, our applied research projects provide a practical, pragmatic and innovative response to the social and economic challenges posed by the digital and ecological transition. They are helping to transform our economy and create new jobs.
Our priority areas of applied research enable us to develop highly targeted expertise, while at the same time being able to tackle the complexity of the new socio-economic challenges and provide solutions through interdisciplinary applied research projects:
- Innovative pedagogy (language learning, entrepreneurial pedagogy and differentiated pedagogy);
- Sustainable development (circular economy);
- Changing professions (digital and ecological transition, Industry 4.0);
- Entrepreneurship (Repreneurship, new business models).
